Three winners and a hatful of placing
It has been a busy week for the team with 13 runners over five days in all corners of the country! The horses have all run with great credit, resulting in three winners and a hatful of placings. Tuesday’s trip to Southwell brought a winner in the shape of Rascal, who made all to take the three mile handicap hurdle by an impressive 14 lengths for owners The Really Wild Bunch. The following day’s trip to Ludlow brought more good performances from both Stephanie Francis, who was runner up by a neck in the mares’ handicap hurdle, and Arthamint who showed improvement on his recent Huntingdon run to win the bumper in good style.
Work In Progress made a solid start to his career when fourth at Exeter on his Rules debut, and Workbench continued his consistent vein of form with another good effort for fourth. It was another busy Saturday, with four runners heading north to Wetherby and Fairytale Theatre making the trip to Sandown.
We were delighted to see Three Musketeers win the novice hurdle at Wetherby in very good style for Mrs Widdowson and Mrs Kelvin-Hughes, whilst our other runners Like Minded, Guiding George and Many Stars all ran creditably for second place. At Sandown Fairytale Theatre put in a good performance on her first run for the team to finish second under Bridget Andrews. All the horses came back safe and well, and we are now looking forward to plotting a busy campaign over the Christmas period!
