It All Starts Again!

Willow’s Saviour & some of this owners Triple F Partnership

Bank Holiday Monday saw the end of an era in the yard with the official retirement of 2013 Ladbroke Hurdle winner Willow’s Saviour. Last seen running at Newbury on March 8th, the decision was taken by owner-breeder Margaret Cuff & the Triple F Partnership to retire Willow from racing following a career which saw him win five times since arriving at Lodge Hill. Despite being unlucky with injuries, his enthusiasm for racing has never waned and he has been a star for the yard in the last few seasons. Everyone at the yard is very sorry to see Willow leave, but he will now be retrained for a career in eventing at which he is certain to excel!

Yesterday’s meeting at Warwick saw a great start to the new season with the team scoring a double. After running very well in the Grade 1 Anniversary Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree, Bedrock was a decisive winner of the opening novices’ hurdle, whilst Cobra De Mai took the novices’ handicap chase in great style.

Bags packed, off on their holidays!

This morning it feels like summer is really here as we have turned out many of the horses who have run through the winter for their summer break, although there is still plenty of racing to come in the next few weeks to keep everyone busy!
