100 Up for Team Skelton

It’s the eve of the Aintree Festival and with a big weekend ahead the horses have been in flying form!
This afternoon at Wincanton Listen To The Man was a game winner of the mares’ handicap hurdle for Graham & Susan Carsberg, and in doing so registered our 100th winner for the season. It has been a huge team effort to get over the line and couldn’t have been achieved without the support of some great owners, sponsors, family, friends, staff & of course horses! Incredibly Eddie Tobin, who led up Listen To The Man, also led up Two Taffs who was our our 100th winner last season.

Rio Gold Racing Club’s first winner I’ll Be Your Clown with delighted owners in the winners’ enclosure

This week we have seen some nice winners as the horses are clearly enjoying the sun on their backs. At Stratford on Saturday Excellent Team & I’ll Be Your Clown picked up both divisions of the novices’ hurdle, and at Ludlow on Monday there was another double with Shantou Rock & Hestina both winning nicely.

The hard work is not yet done though and with 11 to go it would be great to get Harry’s century up for the season. We are looking forward to sending a nice team to Aintree, and there are also exciting times ahead for the Rio Gold Racing Club who celebrated the first winner in their colours on Saturday.
